ING and the City of Luxembourg commit to the LGBTIQ+ cause with the first edition of the Luxembourg Pride Run.

ING and the City of Luxembourg are proud to organise the first edition of the Luxembourg Pride Run, a 5 or 10 kilometre run to support the LGBTIQ+ cause. The start will be on Wednesday 5 July at 7pm at the Cité Judiciaire.

The Luxembourg Pride Run is a unique opportunity to show your support to the LGBTIQ+ community and to participate in a festive and inclusive race. Participants can register online until 30 June, and all funds raised by the registrations will be donated to a project aiming to raise awareness in the sports world about the integration of LGBTIQ+ people through workshops, trainings and information material for sports clubs and coaches.

We are delighted to be working with the City of Luxembourg to organise this important race, which will highlight the issues of the LGBTIQ+ community. We hope that this event will help promote inclusion and equality for all.

This initiative is jointly led by the City of Luxembourg and ING in collaboration with Rosa Lëtzebuerg, CENTRE LGBTIQ+ Cigale and IMS. The technical part of the race was entrusted to Urban Trail de Luxembourg ASBL.

As a responsible and committed company, ING has placed diversity and inclusion at the heart of its sustainability policy.

Since 2004, in line with these principles, ING Group has been a leader in terms of equality at work for LGBTIQ+ people. ING was also the first company to sign the Amsterdam Declaration, a commitment to create a corporate culture that values LGBTIQ+ employees and enables them to be themselves and unleash their full potential.

We hope that this first edition of the Luxembourg Pride Run will mark the beginning of an annual tradition to celebrate inclusion and diversity in the City of Luxembourg.

"Running has always been part of ING's support to the community. Running is inclusive by nature: it is open to everyone and we hope to see many attending, whether on the pavement or cheering from the sidelines!" explains Christophe Rahier, CoE Communications & Brand Experience of ING in Luxembourg, in charge of this project.
